Custom DIY Lego iPhone Dash Mount
This is my second custom iPhone dashboard mount. My first one was made mostly from aluminum and held the iPhone in the horizontal position which made the iPod feature difficult to use. So I made a new dashboard mount to hold my iPhone in the vertical position. This time I decided to make it out of Legos!
I mostly used pieces from Technic sets plus a few special pieces from my Bionical figures. I didn't have to use any glue, so all the Lego fans out there can rest easy tonight.

BMW
I made this version for my wife's BMW. It snaps into a vent using a pair of Bionical arm/leg joint pieces. It holds the phone up above the vent, allowing us to still use the vent for AC and heat. It would be pretty easy to alter the design to hang the iPhone below the vent in vehicles where the radio wouldn't be blocked.
Chevy S10
This version snaps into a seam at the top of my dash using another pair of the Bionical arm/leg joints. I also used two Bionical claws to grip the top of the iPhone. This version has a hook in the middle to hold the dock cable when it isn't in use.

I'm not the only adult who still plays with Legos.
