The Midwest Haunters Convention 2009 in Columbus, OH.

The 2009 Midwest Haunters Convention was a huge success.

I attended the trade show on Saturday wearing my Body Bag costume. There was a film crew there from Post Time Productions filming the entire weekend to get footage for their pilot episode for a new series about unusual conventions in America which they hope gets picked up by a national network. They interviewed me in my Body Bag costume, so I am anxiously awaiting to see if the series gets picked up. Stay tuned!

Saturday night was the Masquerade Party. I wore my Jumbo costume and won 2nd place in the Scariest Character Contest. I'm very happy about that!

Finally, I hung out with the vendors again on Sunday wearing Jumbo. Fearscape Studios is the company who makes the clown mask that I used for Jumbo. Together we are working to produce and sell the Jumbo costume. It will likely be a limited production each year with the first set ready sometime early in 2010. Is the world ready for more than one Jumbo?? We shall see!

Visit the official MHC 2009 group pool on Flickr to see many many many more photos from the convention and masquerade party.

Haunted Illinois also took great photos of the costume contests.

Did you attend MHC 2009 and get a picture of the Body Bag or Jumbo? Please send me a copy!
